There are many ways to get to Chicago, and the IACP provides bus shuttle service to and from many conference hotels and the convention center, McCormick Place West, each day during IACP 2011, October 22–26.
But for some conference attendees, including members of the Chicago Police Department and other within-driving-distance law enforcement professionals, cars might be the most convenient way to get around Chicago and access IACP 2011 events.
McCormick Place West, the site of most IACP 2011 activities, has more than 8,000 parking spaces. There is a reduced parking rate in the surface lot (Lot B), at $14 a day. Parking garages in downtown Chicago are available during the conference, too, for a fee.
For conference information, be sure to visit http://www.theiacpconference.org and stay tuned to this blog throughout the conference and in the weeks following your return from Chicago.
