Poll: Name the IACP 2012 High-Tech Lounge

Guest Bloggers: Rebecca Simonelli, Conference Program Manager, IACP; and Gena Galbraith, Exhibits Manager, IACP

Now is your chance.

The IACP is responding to the new technology needs of its annual conference attendees by creating a new and improved, more substantial high-tech lounge for IACP 2012, September 29-October 3, in San Diego, California.

But this areas needs a name. This is where you come in.

This new area will include

  • a charging station for mobile devices such as iPhone, High-Tech Lounge RenderingBlackBerrys, and Androids;
  • Plug-and-Play stations where individuals bring their own laptops, iPads, and mobile devices to work or be in touch with family and friends at home;
  • a lounge area where attendees can sit while their devices charge and network with colleagues and friends; and
  • stationary laptops with Internet access so attendees can remain connected.

We want your opinion. What should we call this area?

Please vote today! The poll closes at 5 p.m., EST, on Friday, March 9.

    i think this will be more useful to attendee’s then exhibitors as we all have our power cords etc. with us. attendee’s are more likely to run out of juice. EXHIBITORS WOULD LOVE FREE WIFI!!!!!!
    FREE WIFI WOULD BE A GREAT SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY- THEY COULD EVEN START WITH A LOG IN PAGE- FREE WIFI PROVIDED BY … SOMEONE WOULD JUMP ON THIS !!!!
