Chief of San Diego PD Welcomes IACP 2012

Guest blogger: Chief William Lansdowne, San Diego Police Department

As the Chief of the San Diego Police Department, I am proud to host the 2012 IACP Conference.  This year’s event is sure to be among the best in recent memory and I hope each and every one of you is able to come visit America’s Finest City.  The IACP always puts on a great conference and we have been preparing non-stop since the last event to ensure that all have the best experience possible.

The San Diego Convention Center is a great location for the 14,000 attendees.  Offering 173,000 square feet of display space for over 780- vendors and exhibitors, the conference will have something for everyone.  I encourage you to attend as many workshops as possible and network with other law enforcement professionals from across the country and around the world.  This is an excellent opportunity to develop and maintain the relationships that are so important to our profession.

San Diego is a beautiful city with so much to offer all who visit.  From the world-famous San Diego Zoo and Sea World, to the relaxing beaches and bustling night life, I guarantee a fun and worthwhile trip to all who come to IACP 2012.
