Show Daily: Sunday’s Highlights and Monday’s Preview

It is hard to believe we’re approaching the halfway point at IACP 2012! What a successful day of education, networking, and exhibiting.

Leave a comment below: What takeaway will you bring home to improve operations at your home agency?

The first day of the Exhibit Hall has officially wrapped, but we reopen tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also recall that education sessions start at 8 a.m., so be sure to check the schedule to identify the can’t-miss workshops for you.

Three essential IACP events are planned for tomorrow:

Make sure you head over to Ballroom 20 by 10 a.m. for the First General Assembly/Uniform Day.  All police officials are asked to wear their department dress uniforms to celebrate the association’s diversity and internationalism, creating a spectacular display of uniforms from around the world.

At 1 p.m., the plenary Preventing Violence against the Police: Aiming for Zero will play host to a frank discussion about the disturbing trend of violence toward law enforcement and the environment where brave police officers are working on a daily basis.

Host Chief’s Night follows the full day of conference activities. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the historic Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, you and your colleagues will enjoy a truly unforgettable block party. Seven blocks, food, entertainment, fun . . . we will see you there!
